Eye Camp in Sivakasi

The 98th Free Eye Camp was conducted by Khaitan Steel Mart in association with Sankara Eye Hospital, on 20th January 2013 at Sivakasi Chamber of Trade Promotion, Sivakasi. A team of 5 Medical experts was led by one Ophthalmologist from Sankara Eye Hospital examined the patients at the camp. 131 patients benefited by this free eye camp. And 78 people were further proceeded for operations that will be held in Sankara Eye Hospital, for free of cost. Those who were selected for operation were provided with food and cooling glass. Spectacles were given at concessional rates. Mr.Sundara Rajan, AGP NSS Unit Officer and seven volunteers from AGP College presented in the camp. Usually this eye camp is conducted on every second Sunday in a month, but this January, due to Pongal Festival, the eye camp was postponed. Next eye camp will be held on 10th February 2013, Sunday.
