Breast Feeding Week Observed at Sivakasi GH

World Breastfeeding Week observed at Sivakasi Government Hospital, on 2nd August 2014, Saturday. The programme was organised jointly by The Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Madurai Branch, Inner Wheel Club of Sivakasi Pyro Town and Sivakasi Municipality, to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies. Dr.V.K.Kathiravan, Chairman, Sivakasi Municipality presided over the awarness camp. Dr.K.Venkatasubramaniam, Annai Nursing Home, was the chief guest for the programme. Dr.K.Venkatasubramaniam stressed the importance of breast feeding. Dr.Ayyanar, Blood Bank Officer, Sivakasi Govt. Hospital, Inner Wheel Club members, Government Hospital staff were present on the occassion.
