1008 Thiruvilakku Procession held

On 17th December 2015, Thursday, Margazhi 1 of Tamil Calendar, 1008 Thiruvilakku Procession was staged in Sivakasi, by Sivakasi Nadar Magalir Mandrams. Girls and women carried thiruvilakku from Sivakasi Kadai Kovil to Pathirakaliamman Thirukovil. Dr.Kathiravan, Chairman, Sivakasi Municipality was the chief guest. Procession was inaugurated by Mrs.Vijayamohini Annamalaisamy, President, Sri Kaliswari Nadar Magalir Mandram, Sivakasi, in the presence of Mr.Rajappan, Sri Kaliswari Group of Industries and Mr.Annamalaisamy, Sri Kaliswari Group of Industries. Around 14 Nadar Magalir Mandra members were participated in the procession. Special pujas were performed to Goddess Muppidaariamman. Kulavai rent the air. Devotees offered special prayers and prasadams were distributed.
