Adi Perukku Festival

As "Adi perukku" and "Guru peyarchi" also coincides with Aadi Amavasya, today, Temples in Sivakasi pulls huge crowd of devotees. On this auspicious occasion, Annadhanam has been done at Sri Muppidaariamman Temple (Kaachakaara Amman Koyil). Fireworks traders and diary manufacturers launches their new product catalogues and price list. Office in Sivakasi were decorated with festoons and flowers. Special pujas were performed at the commercial establishments. Few aided schools in Sivakasi declared holiday for Adi perukku.
