Devotees who were thronging Badrakaliamman temple ran helter-skelter in search of some shield to cover from rain. Very few devotees visited after the rain, at fireworks display show. And the fireworks display show held only for 10 minutes between 09:10 p.m. to 09:20 p.m.. Chithirai Pongal roadside vendors suffered loss of business due to rainfall.
