Green fireworks research lab opened in Sivakasi

Higher participation by fireworks industry in research and developmental activities will speed up achieving the goal to make non-polluting green fireworks, said CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) director Dr Rakesh Kumar on Thursday.

Kumar was speaking at the inauguration of the Green Fireworks Research Laboratory at AAA College of Engineering and Technology in Sivakasi. The new laboratory would become operational in about a month.
