Rain in Sivakasi

Sivakasi buckled under sudden showers which inundated the low lying areas and flooded all major roads of the town. In Sivakasi, a drizzle that started at around 05:05 p.m. turned into a sudden downpour for few minutes. Later it rained heavily for half an hour. Sharp rains accompanied with heavy wind and thunders. The sudden rain cooling up the town and brings joy to Sivakasians. Earlier last week, poojas were performed in some streets and offered the godess Mazhai Kanji, to invoke the rain god.
