Convocation at PSR Engineering College

The Tenth Convocation of P.S.R. Engineering College and First Convocation of P.S.R.R. college of Engineering for women were held on 20th April 2013, Saturday, at college auditorium. Thiru.R.Solaisamy, Correspondent, presided over the function. Directors Mr.Arun and Mr.Sundar were present in the function. Dr.K.R.Viswanathan, Principal, PSR Engineering College and Dr.K.Ramasamy, Principal, P.S.R Rengasamy College of Engineering for women presented the Convocation Report.

Chief Guest, Dr.A.K Pattabiraman, Head, Accreditation Process for South India and Academic Interface for Tamilnadu Tata Consultancy Services, delivered the convocation address and awarded the degree certificates to the graduated students. In his address, he said, Students should work towards developing our society by establishing organization to improve socio-economic power. Be job providers, rather than job seekers, he added. He pointed out that self-employment is the key factor in enriching the developing society. Technical and soft skills are essential to meet the challenges in the competitive world. He further stressed the importance of continuous learning in the respective field helps to become successful entrepreneur. He highlighted the Successful growth of TCS with Three major firms in the country.

About 640 candidates were awarded the Degree certificates by the chief Guest. Among 640 graduates, 17 University rank holders were honoured with medals and certificates. Ms.S.Lalitha secured University First Rank in M.E.Computer Science and Engineering Branch and was honoured with Gold Medal and certificate. Graduates took the pledge after receiving the Degree Certificates. The Programme was organized by Dr.P.Marichamy, Dean-Academic, Dr.Robert Ravi and faculty members.
