Kalugettram Performed in Sivakasi

As a part of Chithirai Pongal Kalugettram was staged in Sivakasi Mariamman Kovil premises, at 5:00 a.m., yesterday. Procession of the deity taken place from Mandagapadi place to Mariamman Temple. The procession accompanied by Music bands and fireworks display. Special puja and abisegham were performed. Devotees got dharshinam of Lord Badrakaliamman, in Mariamman Kovil Temple. Hundreds of devotees thronged near Mariamman Kovil to watch Kalugettram performance. After Kalugettram, fireworks display has been arranged. The idol of the deity has been sent to Kadai Kovil. Karuppatti Mittai, Velai Mittai and Muruku has been distributed as prasadham to the devotees. In front of Kadai Kovil, drishti has been done for the deity.
