Chithirai Pongal Kadaisi Thiruvizhaa

Today is Chithirai Pongal Kadaisi Naal Thiruvizhaa in Sivakasi town. The Annual Chithirai Pongal festival began on 30th April 2013, with Kodiyettram. Chithirai Pongal and Kayirukuthu Festival was celebrated on 7th and 8th May 2013, respectively. As a part of Chithirai Pongal Festival Temple car procession has been taken place from 10th to 12th May 2013. At the end of first day the temple car has been placed near Agni Vinayakar Kovil and on the second day it was on Dr.Jeyabal Hospital. Yesterday the temple car reached its destination. Hundreds witnessed therottam. Special pujas were performed for the deity. And today is Kadaisi Thiruvizhaa, some devotees carried out padhakanikkai and muthu poduthal and offered to Lord Badrakaliamman as netrikadan. Sivakasians are busy in shopping and tasting Karuppatti Mittai and Vellai Mittai, today.
