Printex 2014 : Ramu Ramanathan explores printing trends

PrintWeek India’s editor, Ramu Ramanathan, delivered a guest lecture to printing students at Arasan Ganesan Polytechnic College, Sivakasi on 16 July 2014.

In the two-hour session, Ramanathan spoke about success stories and industry trends. In his sleek presentation defining the A to Z of printing industry, Ramanathan covered trends, growth areas, new applications and emerging sectors of Indian printing industry.

He motivated the students to ‘think big’ to achieve success in their chosen field.

He also spoke about successful print companies in India such as The Hindu, Vistaprint, Repro India, Parksons, Glo Digital Press, who have achieved printing excellence in India.

During his visit to the institute, Ramanathan witnessed laboratory facilities and digital classrooms for distance education programme. He also interacted with Prof Nanda Kumar, principal of the institute and other faculty members about the institute’s initiatives and student placements.
