Night rain causes power cut in Sivakasi

Sivakasi town experienced steady rain, last night, for more than 15 minutes. The temperature falls down to 25 degree Celsius. There was steady rain from 01:20 a.m. to 01:45 a.m.. Rain water harvesting systems, installed in buildings, received copious amount of water and brings temporary relief from water crisis. A few spells of rain are expected for next ten days in Sivakasi town, with average maximum and minimum temperature of 31 and 25 degree celsius. There was no power supply from 01:30 a.m. to 05:30 a.m.. In Sivakasi, families having small kids, aged and elderly people had more harrowing times, yesterday night. Due to power outage Sivakasians had sleepless night. Sivakasians are also unable to sleep in the terrace due to the lack of lights after dark was resulting in security issues. Further, the terrace were wet due to rain.
