Hundreds witness Sivakasi Ayyanar Kovil kumbabishekam

Hundreds of devotees witnessed the Maha Kumbabishekam (consecration) of Sivakasi Sri Koondhappanai Ayyanar Swami Temple, on 28th November 2014, Friday. Holy water was poured on the Kovil kalasams atop the rajagopuram and other towers amid chanting of hymns and mantras. Special pujas were performed from the morning. The holy water was sprinkled on devotees immediately after the kumbabishekam through sprinklers. The temple and campus were decked with pandhals, colour papers and festoons. Annadhaanam has been done for three days. The festival was well organised by Sivakasi Hindu Rajakula Agamudaiyaar Devargal.
