Kodikka season begins in Sivakasi, from the mid of January. Kodikkaai vendors procure it from nearby villages and have started camping in the major areas of Sivakasi town. In Sivakasi, the price of one kg Kodikkaai is Rs.200 - to Rs.220 depending on the size and quality. A vendor in NRKR road said sivakasiweekly.com that, the season will end up in two months. Because of their skyrocketing prices, Kodikkaai failed to attract many buyers in Sivakasi Town market.
