Thousands witnessed Panguni Pongal Mandagapadi

As a part of Panguni Pongal, Mandagapadi held at Sivakasi Arisi Kottai, today. The place of mandagapadi was decorated with fruits, festoons, garlands, flowers, thoranais attractive colour papers and decorative lights. The mandagapadi place were decked up for the special day. Devotees from the nearby villages and Sivakasians will throng the mandagapadi place throughout today night to offer prayers to the deity. A huge posse of policemen, assisted by Traffic Constable and volunteers of Sivakasi Hindu Nadar Uravinmurai, regulated the large gathering. After worshiping the Goddess, Sivakasians are busy in buying the traditional Vellai Mittaai and Karuppatti Mittaai. Kayirukuthu Mandagapadi was organised by Sri Sirrambala Nadar Vagaiyaraakal.
