New bus stand at Thiruthangal

The new Thiruthangal Bus Stand was inaugurated by Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa through video conference. Efforts made by Minister for Information and Special Programme Implementation K.T. Rajendhira Balaji, Municipal Chairman Dhanalakshmi Ganesan, and Vice-Chairman P. Sakthivel yields results. An area of 1.5 acres on Sivakasi-Virudhunagar Main Road (near Karuppasamy Kovil) and the bus stand was constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.69 crore. The municipality shared the expenditure and contributed a sum of Rs. 40 lakh and the rest was received from the State Government.
