Yesterday, after a hot sunny day, Sivakasi town receives sharp showers accompanied with hundreds of lightnings and thunders, between 04:50 p.m. to 06:00 p.m., at evening. Within minutes of a steady rain the town was seen flooded and clogged. There was no power supply for around one hour. Rain water harvesting systems, installed in buildings, received copious amount of water. Earlier on Saturday, the town receives mild drizzle at evening. Today, the sky was darker at evening, but the town fails to receive rain. It was occasionally drizzle, but drizzle fails to make the road wet. For the next 5 days sky will be partly cloudy with slim possibilities for rain, with average maximum and minimum temperature of 38 and 26 degree celsius respectively.
