1008 Thiruvilakku Urvalam in Sivakasi

1008 Thiruvilakku Procession was taken out in Sivakasi on 17th December 2011. The procession started after worshipping in Sivakasi Kadai Kovil at 6:00 p.m. and ended the procession by placing all the 1008 Thiruvilakku in Sri Badrakaliamman Temple. Police securities were tighten for the procession. Earlier the event was headed by Dr.Kathiravan, Sivakasi Municipality Chairman and Mrs.G.Dhanalakshmi, Thiruthangal Municipality Chairman. Procession was inaugurated by Mr.A.S.Rajappan, Mr.L.Palanisamy, Mr.A.Kumaravel, Mr.A.P.Selvaraj and Mrs.Vijayamohini Annamalaisamy. Mr.A.M.S.G.Ashokan, Mr.A.Aasai Thambi, Mr.A.R.Jeyaraj and Mr.P.Ganesan as chief guests of the procession. Mrs.Vijayamohini Annamalaisamy said us that this procession will takes place for the peace and wellbeing of the country, every year on the 1st day of Margali month, in Sivakasi.
