No Electricity, shocks Sivakasians

For last two days there were power cut in Sivakasi for around 6 to 7 hours. Now the power cut time further increased to 8 hours, from today onwards. The re-introduction of unannounced power cut in addition to the scheduled power cut for more than eight hours a day, has caused severe inconvenience to all sections of the people, including students, small and mid sized businessmen, traders and homemakers, in Sivakasi. Sivakasians stay awake atleast four times night to battling against mosquito with no electricity at night times also.

Majority of the small and mid sized business unit promoters in Sivakasi said that they were unable to keep their delivery commitments in time. In Sivakasi, Small and Mid sized business people are unable to withstand the erratic and unscheduled cut in supply of power.

The cause for this power cut is due to increasing power usage, providing new connections, reduced windmill power supply, begining of summer season, and delaying in starting Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant Project. The only solution to solve No Electricity problem is to start Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, as early as possible. It all rests with the support of people of Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu State Government and Central Government of India. If Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant Project is not started, we will be soon taken to stone age.

No electricity, not only shocks Sivakasi, but also the whole Tamil Nadu.
