July starts with a rain

The month of July started with a moderate rainfall, in Sivakasi. On1st July 2021, Thursday, Sivakasi town receives moderate rainfall between 3:50 p.m. to 04:25 p.m.. The downpour brought cheers for Sivakasians. Yesterday (6th July 2021, Tuesday) there was heavy rainfall between 06:50 p.m. to 08:10 p.m., in and around Sivakasi and Thiruthangal area. The drains were overflowed and the roads remained flooded for some hours. Rainy onslaughts leave several roads damaged, in Sivakasi. Several low-lying areas in the town were inundated after the incessant heavy rain. Rain water harvesting systems, installed in buildings, received copious amount of water. There was no power supply for around two hours, due to heavy rainfall. For the next one week sky will be cloudy with slim possibilities of rain with maximum and minimum temperature of 35 and 26 degree celsius.
