Breastfeeding awareness week inaugurated

Every year the world celebrates Breastfeeding Week from August 1 to August 7 to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of mothers and babies around the world. In Sivakasi, mini marathon was organised by Inner Wheel Club of Sivakasi, in association with The Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Madurai Branch. Chief Guest DSP Babu Prasanth was honoured by Dr.V.K.Kathiravan. Veteran marathoner T D Rajendran and Senthiammal were present on the occasion. DSP flagged off the marathon. Mrs. Senthiammal highlighted the importance of breastfeeding in her speech.
