2012 Holi Celebration in Sivakasi

The colorful festival of Holi is celebrated in Sivakasi on 8th March 2012 (Thursday) by Sivakasi Marwaris. Revellers splashed colour on each other as they exchanged hugs and embraces across the roads in Sivakasi to celebrate the festival of colours. In Sivakasi, some marwaris celebrated, by travelling to various streets in an open van, with small bands, music system and colour powders and smearing to others. Children had most of the fun as they sprayed coloured water using water guns and hurled water-filled balloons on people. The festival of colours not only entertains the Children and young but also the old, they too threw dry colour on others and blessed the young.
