The annual 10 day Chithirai Pongal Festival begins with kodiyetram on 2nd May 2023, Tuesday. Black clouds hovered at 6 pm and the town received rain from 7 pm. Amidst rain Sivakasians thronged Badrakaliamman Temple for Chithirai Pongal Kodiyetram Festival. Thousands of devotees witnessed kodiyetram festival. Due to heavy rain, light music begins lately.
