Recent rains filled water reservoirs in Sivakasi

The heavy downpour on last December and January 2024 increased the water inflow to Periyakulam, Sirukulam Kanmai and other water reservoirs in Sivakasi. Periyakulam reached 10 feet last week and Sirukulam was overflowed to the nearby colony. Most of the temple tanks in Sivakasi were filled. People excitedly visited both Sirukulam and Periyakulam. Some took bath in Periyakulam. Within 3 days people started dumping garbage waste in the Periyakulam. It rests in our hand to keep the water reservoir clean and tidy.
