Chithirai Pongal 2024

On 7th May 2024, Tuesday, Chithirai Pongal Festival was celebrated in Sivakasi Arulmighu Sri Badrakaliamman Thirukovil. The way leading to the temple wore a festive look. The balloon, toy sellers and vendors arranged stalls on either side of the road near Badrakaliamman Kovil. The temple has been decked up with festoons, flowers, lights and banners for the Chithirai Pongal Festival. Sivakasians prepared and offered pongal for Badrakaliamman. Sivakasi Hindu Nadar Uravinmurai arranged the festival in a grand and in an systematic manner. The temple and police administration have made special arrangements to conduct the festival in a smooth manner.
