Rain Brings Relief For Sivakasi Amid Scorching Heat

Rain, accompanied by gusty winds, lashed parts of Sivakasi on 19th April 2025, Saturday evening, bringing relief from the heat, for around 2 hours. On 20th April 2025, Sunday, the town experienced moderate rainfall at evening for around 30 minutes. The city recorded a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, 4 notches above normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Heat wave persist even after getting rainfall for two consecutive days. For the next one week sky will be partly cloudy with excessive heat with average maximum and minimum temperature of 41 and 26 degree celsius respectively. There is chance for rain on this weekend.
