2012 Panguni Pongal Therottam in Sivakasi

A large number of devotees offered worship to Sivakasi Mariamman, processional idol of Mariamman, on the occassion of Panguni Pongal Therottam festival, on last week. The Therottam festival beginned on 11th April 2012 and reached the Ellai on 14th April 2012, Saturday. The temple car was pulled at 04:00 p.m. all the day of Therottam, at all the four car streets of Sivakasi. On the final day of the Therottam Festival in Sivakasi, hundreds draw the temple car. Earlier the rest place of the Temple car was concreted. After the car was brought to rest, devotees worship Mariamman and special puja were done.
