Jamblang fruit season in Sivakasi

The Jamblang season in Sivakasi town starts in June end and goes on till August last week. Jamblang fruit vendors and sellers from various regions from Virudhunagar District have started camping in the major areas of Sivakasi town. The selling price of Jamblang (Nawaa Pazham) in Sivakasi is between Rs.120 and Rs.160.00 per kg. With bittering prices and reduced supply, Jamblang fruit remain out of reach for the common man in Sivakasi town.
