Power cut begins

In Sivakasi, there was frequent power cut from yesterday onwards. During night time there was power shut down at regular intervals of one hour. There was no power supply for around five hours at night time and seven hours at day time. Sivakasians struggle to sleep at night because of the mosquito bites. The acute shortage of the electricity supply is due to low windmill power generation. Commissioning of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project, will bring permanent relief for power crisis.
