Hundreds witnessed Pookuli Festival

Today, Sri Raja Ganapathi Ayyappa Sevai Sangam organised 29th Pookuzhi Thiruvizha in front of Arulmighu Sri Mariamman Thirukovil, Sivakasi, at 06:00 p.m.. In this Pookuzhi festival around 10 ayyappan devotees walked across a five metre long by two metre wide pookuli. Some devotees walked around the pit. Earlier Sivakasians offered oils and ghees as netrikadan. People who take part in the festival chanted Amman slogans. After Pookuzhi festival, annadhaanam offered to pilgrims, at Sri Vetri Vinayagar Kovil, Sivakasi.
